# meticulous about safety:
During our journey at the College of New Jersey, I was deeply impressed by American’s scrupulous attention to safety – they always go to great length to keep potential danger at bay.
I still remember the fire drill. We waited for more than half an hour for outside just to wait for the police to record the data of our evacuation. Yet in China, this sort of evacuation drill would not be taken seriously or even considered as a waste of time. However, college residence is very prone to fire with various electrical appliances equipped. Therefore we really should take every opportunity to follow safety precautions.
American’s scrupulousness is also testified by the price of the room key. Losing a key can be solved “cheaply” in China: just take roommate’s key and get a copy. Yet in America, there is a heavy fine of at least 50 bucks for each key lost. The reason behind is that the whole system including the electric lock is replaced entirely for a single missing key just in case the key is accidentally found and adversely used.
In a nutshell, American pays tremendous attention to every details involved in safety.

In the art museum, I saw lots of beautiful things. I learnt the modern paintings and the ancient china. The modern arts are very unusual. Because most of them don’t have any meaning. Even though, I could feel the love and excitement of the artists. On the second floor I saw the great china in Meiji period of Japan. They are vases and wooden boxes with black winter sweet and tiny birds on them. I also saw a crouching feline which made of silver. It looks like a lion. As you know in China, the stone lions are the signals of Royal people. Then on the third floor, I saw a large mummy and some glass bottles which made in Greek, I really know many new things in the art museum. I thought art is really amazing. Thank you!
